When I canter I feel the need to grab on to something, so I grab the pommel (front part of saddle) . Could I fall forward? Also are there any more ways to break in riding boots than walking up stairs and riding?

2005 Acura TSX decently priced?

I recently saw a TSX with 130k miles priced for 9500. Its an automatic, ive inspected in all the way around and the only thing it needs is new rotors and brake pads. How to fix the middle armrest and glove compartment in a Chevy Malibu?

So when my husband buys a new car he'll be giving me his 1998 Chevy Malibu (um...yay?) It runs okay and I only really need it to make short runs to the store, laundromat, whatever. But I would like to spruce it up a little before I get it. Last year we had a break-in. There was nothing to take (NOT EVEN THE STEREO!) but the middle armrest/storage compartment was ripped off of its hinges and the handle to the glove compartment was broken off. The glove compartment isn't that big of a deal but the armrest is literally a hazard. If I brake too hard, it goes forward and throws the car into neutral. Can these things be fixed? And if so, how?

2000 Mustang Coupe with dual exhaust?

I have had a 2000 Mustang for a little longer than a year now and the check engine has been on forever, I just went to get it inspected and apparently 4 of my 6 oxygen sensors are defective. I was going to fix the problem by getting new mufflers at a junk but I realized that my car has a dual exhaust and that Mustangs in my year come with a single exhaust. In my last year of middle school, I missed all but 3 games due to a knee sprain and only averaged 0.0ppg 2apg and 2rpg in those two games. This summer I decided I needed more help and more exposure to competetive play since my High School is only a single A school, so I decided to join the new AAU team my hometown was putting together for the first time this year. To be honest, we suck, we have only had one tournament, and lost the first two games by 30pts or more, and won the last game by forfeit because the team we were gonna play lost 54 to 1. But anyway, in the tournament, I scored 10pts in the first game against a team called SQBA, ant then I scored 12 in my second against the "Young Ballerz" so I guess thats 11ppg, I also had 2apg and 4rpg in this tournament. So if I continue to practice my all around game, will I have any future in basketball? Like how far do you think I could get? My teamates compare me to Ray Allen because of my shooting ability, although I wasn't a three point shooter in the begining of the AAU season, just a mid-range shooter, but ever since my coach forced the three point shot on me, I went from 20% behind the line to 34%. I am also a 87% free throw shooter, but lack dribbling ability, I don't drive to the basket often, in fact, I only lay the ball in on fastbreaks, I'm not a physical player, or one of those emotional leaders that get hyped up every second, I don't block shots or steal the ball, I just play solid on ball deffense. Should I stick with an AMD processor or is Intel now the only show in town?

I'm planning on buying a new gaming computer costing about �500 (excluding peripherals) and I'm unsure about whether to go for an AMD or Intel processor. All my previous computers have had AMD processors and in general I've always thought they were better value but Intel's new "Sandy Bridge" processors are supposed to be such a massive leap forward that I'm thinking maybe I'd be better to opt for one of them instead. Are Sandy bridge processors really so much better than AMD's Phenom range? And would it really be worth the extra money going for Intel versus getting a slower AMD with better graphics card?

Is my navel piercing becoming infected?

About 2 1/2 weeks ago I got my navel pierced. I know I shouldn't but from the clear liquid that secretes out of the injection sites the jewelry gets stuck to my skin so I end up moving the barbell up and down to loosen it from my skin. Under neath the top part of the piercing there is a blister there. Around the top part of the jewelry there is a small red circle surrounding it, but the bottom isn't like that. It does not hurt unless if something accidentally rubs against it. Sometimes white puss comes out (on either end of the barbell) but not often; it usually looks like water coming out. I clean it with H2Ocean and a Q-Tip 3 times a day. Does any of this mean it is getting infected? If not will the blister go away on its own, or do I need to do something to make it go away?

The other day, I went to look at a used car at a dealership and, at the time, asked him if there were any engine problems (oil leaks, transmission, etc.) and he immediately told me there was nothing wrong with it. After our test drive, I noticed a light smell of burning oil and proceeded to inspect the engine for myself. I found a large patch of thick oil residue on the engine and saw an oil spot where the car was originally parked. I told the guy and proceeded right off the lot. Today, I had a friend call the exact same salesman and ask him about the car and again the salesman said there was nothing wrong with the engine (bull.) Can they really just lie to people about this stuff? What if some poor person walked in and trusted the guy and bought a lemon?

Ok, first off I'm 15. My parents are letting me do this acting thing over the summer. It involves me staying out until 2am but I'm in good care and for the performances my father has to be there anyway. Now my dilemma is that I want to do this during the school year too, and I know that this seems pretty much out of the question but let me give an argument. The performances are only on every other weekend, on Friday and Saturday so I would not be missing any school. I would make sure my grades don't slip below an A or I would promise to quit. I would show my parents all my homework so they could see it was done and that I wasn't slacking off. The rehearsals are on Sunday, but are only until 8. I usually don't have anything outside of school so this would be a great thing for me to look forward to and motivate me to do well in school. So that pretty much concludes my argument. How to keep bedbugs away?!?!?

We have been living in a apt for 8 months now and we have been infested with roaches and now our couch has bedbugs! Our bed doesn't have them but I REALLY want to keep it that way. It is up on a frame and I have put vaseline around the wheels because I heard this prevents them from climbing up onto the bed. I also heard spraying pure ammonia can help, but I have an 18 month old and don't know if thats safe. Any other suggestions to keep them out of our bed and maybe even eliminate the problem entirely? Is my pet rat dying? Please help.?

My 2 year 2 month old rat, Jelly, weighs about 300-400 gms and since it started getting warm, has begun to grow increasingly inactive. I figured it was the heat when he started falling asleep in his food-bowl right after I would give him his vegetables. He was relatively fine till this afternoon, when he stopped scarpering around as he normally does at feeding time, and just kept sleeping. I tried getting him out a few times but he just crawled back into his cage. His breathing is very erratic, and he's secreting a clear mucous-like thing from his mouth constantly. He is also not eating. He keeps pushing his food away and upturning his food-bowl. I really do not know what the matter is and I'm scared of jostling him too much. Is he dying? If so, is he in pain? Is there anything I can do to ease his pain? I live in Delhi where there are not any vets that treat pet rats. Please help me. I know he's old and probably dying, but I hate to see him in pain like this. Please please please help me.

Bird died mysteriously until we found out what might have been the cause, could this be it?

So for mothers day we got my mom a pair of parakeets that were on special at petco, one survived while the other died. We made jokes that one killed the other cause they got in a fight over who's colors are better. But we had to throw him out. We didn't inspect the body because that is germ city and birds are infamously known for flu and other types of diseases. So the other day I do this on a normal sunny day in california basis, I hang my bird in the front of my house. So I am chilling waiting for my dog to pee since I took him out to pee on the grass cause he was whinning. And A FREAKING OVER SIZED fatty cat comes falling out of a tree and i'm like you MOTHER-F word and I chased it down. Keep in mind I hate cats, especially strays. So this made me angry as hell. Me and my look each other in the eyes and said now we know what killed our bird. Cats are smart and I wouldn't doubt that one of them tried to kill the bird or open the cage but couldn't so he shook it or scratched the cage and harmed my bird therefore leading to his death. Sadly I can't take out my bird until later when my backyard trees come out and my puppy protects it. ;) but I was wondering if there is no sign or entry or the birds being loose is possible a cat could of shook/scratched and clawed my bird to death?

you can usually get a mechanic to do a decent inspection for about 100 bucks, I suggest you look on this website first www.carcomplaints.com and see if the cars you found are anywhere on this list of worst cars to own. And if you would like some free information on how to buy a car, what to look for and what to look out for, try www.samarins.com there is also a section on used car reviews that may be helpful.After many years of being around cars, I think I found a way to at least figure out if a car is even worth taking to a mechanic. I do a cold start test drive , this is where the vehicle has sat at least overnight without being driven. A lot of worn out abused cars are hard to start when cold, and the transmission may not even move the car for the first 5 to 15 minutes. And some people will try to hide this, by warming up the car thourougly early in the morning. I ask people not to start the car. If they do anyway I beileive they are trying to hide something and leave and go home. If the oil in the engine is cold when I get there in the morning, I start it up, listen to the motor it should start easily, and smooth into a high idle in 5 to 10 seconds. I give it a minute or two to warm up and get the oil circulating, and drive it like I stole it. any good used car that will run good and get up to 55 easily in the first 5 to 7 minutes when cold may not be in too bad of shape. And plan on spending 40 minutes to an hour test driving it. If the people who own it will not let you test drive, or go to a mechanic, then walk away and keep looking.Patience is the key to finding a jewel in a sea of worn out cars, so get used to walking away from crap, there are lots of broken worn out cars for sale.

Homemade go kart's front wheel bend in while driving?

For some reason when I get in my go kart and after a foot of driving the front wheels kind of buckle and tilt so that the top is facing in and the bottom is facing out (it also stops me from moving forward). I have a suspension system (consisting of pivoting axles on each individual wheel and then a shock on that). Someone told me that its doing that because it's not supported enough and another person told me that it's because the shocks are not stiff enough (and that I should use a c spanner wrench to push it up more grooves). The other weird thing is that when I pull the kart in reverse the tires go back into the right position.

my guppy which i have had in a 10 gal tank for a month now seems to be changing color somewhat. this color change has been happening only on his head, he is a blue delta guppy but towards his lower silver head its beginning to turn gold, kind of. he appears very healthy however, and not scratching himself at all. upon inspecting him with a flashlight the color has a shine to it, and it does not appear powdery at all, and it is all local to his head only, and i would figure if it was velvet the gold would show up all over his darker body. and with the amount of time his head has been turning i assume the other fish would have gotten it, but no others show symptoms. is it maybe poor water? or something else? or is it actually velvet?

Be sure to change your oil as it breaks down over time even when not being used, check your tires for dryrot since it has been sitting, look for any cracks in the tread or sidewall and if there is any have the tires replaced. Inspect your engine air filter to make sure no critters have set up a home in there since the vehicle has been sitting. Take it to any oil change facility and they should be able to do this for you. Last if there are any grease fittings on the suspension/ stearing have them lube them as the greese will dry out over time. Thanks again and welcome home. Belly Button Piercing...?

About 2 1/2 weeks ago I got my navel pierced. I know I shouldn't but from the clear liquid that secretes out of the injection sites the jewelry gets stuck to my skin so I end up moving the barbell up and down to loosen it from my skin. Under neath the top part of the piercing there is a blister there. Around the top part of the jewelry there is a small red circle surrounding it, but the bottom isn't like that. It does not hurt unless if something accidentally rubs against it. Sometimes white puss comes out (on either end of the barbell) but not often; it usually looks like water coming out. I clean it with H2Ocean and a Q-Tip 3 times a day. Does any of this mean it is getting infected? If not will the blister go away on its own, or do I need to do something to make it go away?

Hi, My business was supplied with a faulty product in december 2010, we found the fault more or less immediate and reported it over the phone. there Representative came out to have a look at the damage so they are aware (agree?) well they still have done nothing to sort it so I have written a letter to them telling them I have had enough of waiting and want them to collect and refund me the money I paid as I have waited long enough! There reply to this was that they was not aware of an issue (what Rubbish) as they have nothing in writing and supplied me with their terms which state all faults must be advised in writing within 5 days of delivery. I must have imagined their representative inspecting the fault and all the conversations since!! This representative is self employed so they are not his boss but I still think he would be reluctant to defend us if it went to court as he would not like to upset the supplier. What I really want to know is do I have a legal argument to get my money back? p.s another company we deal with reported the same fault with the same product only a few weeks before us (if that has any baring)

Half chap help.. My chaps are slippery as ice!?

This is going to sound crazy, but if they are not an expensive pair, and they are mostly suede leather then you can put them in the washing machine... After a couple of months of wear my cheap half chaps go from suede to smooth because the horse sweat and dander just gets into them. Put them in an old pillow case to protect the washing machine from buckles or clips and then just put the washing machine on normal cycle. If you have leather detergent it helps but it's not essential. I've been doing that to my $30 chaps every 3 or 4 months for the last 2 years and they've lasted great, they look almost new when they come out of the machine.
